How Love’s Name Fades

Could you grace me with my cherished name, once more?

A name imbued with love, like Earth’s embrace, it did implore.

When it left your lips, it felt like a warm, cozy shroud,

The whole world’s love, in its whisper, allowed.

A sensation, like a gem, so rare and true,

A pet name, a sunbeam in affection’s vast blue.

Yet, I can’t amend the past words I spoke,

Did they wound so deeply, the love’s promise you revoked?

I cannot fathom the impact, how deep it scarred,

Do I not deserve the love, once claimed and shared?

For you once said, “It’s all yours,” oh, so tenderly,

Now, is it lost forever, or can it still be?
